A common configuration for the server is to function as an infomercial playback server at night and combine as a commercial insertion server during the hours of networks programming. Another common use is to expand existing add insertion systems with the CS1510 to obtain additional channels of community TV programming or Shopping channels.

For sensitive application the server can additionally be configured to always move data to local hard drives before playback

In a time when operations are converting from analog to digital transmissions it is important to know that selecting a server for you current analog transmission or hybrid transmission must allow you to upgrade or update your servers to next generation of transmission.

 

The CS1510-II you are currently using or planning to purchase can easily be upgraded to function in it’s new fully digital environment.

 

In many cases you only need to upgrade the software in your server to obtain full digital to digital insertion or playback capabilities. In some installation you must however update one of the hardware items in the server. Most resellers of the CS1510 video server do offer an replacement or on site service. Binary API: Control every feature of the server directly using TCP-IP
Binary API-DLL and OCX: Same level of control but we have already done the all the programming with the TCP-IP so you can focus on functionality. This is an ideal choice for Visual Basic Programmers or C++ programmers.
XML: XML has been some of the de-facto standard today. CS1510 provides full control of the server including sending and receive schedules and medias.
Text File based API: CS1510 can be configured to read text file containing instruction on how to operated. Including receiving schedules, sending or retrieving video files, dropping of log-files or other status information.
